Finally achieved a longtime emo kid dream! This is my My Chemical Romance Helena cosplay!
My last two photoshoots were music inspired and music ... What's there to say? It is such a deep and powerful thing that I feel all enjoy.
I am very much a huge MCR fan. Often times there is a lot of negative comments on emo music and even My Chemical Romance. However, for a band that is labeled so very sad, it is amazing how many people can say "My Chemical Romance saved me." I love when music makes you feel and especially when it makes you feel not alone. MCR does that for so many (and me too tbh) and I think that is beautiful.
WHAT IS ALSO BEAUTIFUL ARE THESE IMAGES!!! This was/is my aesthetic. I have had to grow it up for society, but these are my vibes. I also used to dance many years ago, but for a long period ... 6 years in fact. Embodying this character and even my last character, the flowy dancer arms and movements just came back to me. Now ... the shoes were too big so there were some limitations, but I still got to pull out those skills from yesteryear π. I really was just feeling myself. Everything felt natural.
Every time you check out a set, you save me. You do. For real. This craft/expression feeds my soul just like the music that influenced this photoshoot. I love what I do so much and hope you can find some enjoyment in my art too. β€οΈ
