Like, all of the ingredients are from Japan (except for rice surprisingly, but rice has been grown there for a million years, so close enough), so it's not that strange that these ingredients are combined into a dish. But the thought to combine the ingredients the way that you do - fish, wrapped in seaweed, wrapped in rice, and rolled, is absolutely insane. I love Japanese cuisine because it epitomizes taking whatever you have on hand and doing the absolute most with it, and honoring those ingredients. Like, think of all the things the Japanese do with soy beans. What a time to be alive
