one of my favorite things to do when cleaning around is organizing my yarn! it’s so satisfying to see all my yarn displayed how i like and not to mention really relaxing! even if you don’t crochet, we should all have something we like to do to pass the time and relax 😌🧡

did you know there are different types of knitting needles? the needles im showcasing are circular needles that allow you to do projects in the round like skirts and straight needles that allow you to make items like scarves! both are equally great in there own ways and having both in your supplies lets you create anything you want 🧶💖

do you know what this is called? i’ll give you a hint! it’s has a really easy name 😌 it’s called a yarn bowl! this lil bowl hold your yarn in place as you use it in your project! it’s great for when you can’t keep a pesky ball of yarn in place or want to use more than one color! it’s truly a must need if you crochet or knit a lot 🧶🫶🏽

i’ve been learning how to knit recently and i wanted to try to make something with the knit stitch, since it’s the one im best at 🙈 and so far my knit skirt is coming along soo well! knit items are very stretchy so i’m not concerned about following a pattern and am more interested in just seeing how things flow! what do you think of the color so far? 💙✨

been working on a couple of these swirly candy canes for the holidayss ♥️ they are so easy to make and the best part is that you can whatever you like with this pattern 😌 you can do any two, or even 3 colors you like and when completed you just swirl them together, no sewing necessary (except for the extra yarn at ends of course)! you don’t even need to make a candy cane if you don’t like, you can also make a garland with the pattern just make a long chain with an even amount of stitches and put in 2 stitches for every stitch and you’re set 🥰🤍

finished this just in time for thanksgiving dinner and i think it came out amazingg 💙 this is called a shrug, it’s made from mostly double crochets and half-double crochets and the sleeves are closed with beads! this is a bit more intricate than some of my other pieces and it took a lot of trial and error but it was worth it 🥰🤍

ever wonder what the bottom of an almost completed project looks like? swipe to the next photo for the mess 🙈😅 the last step to fully complete a project is called “weaving in the ends” where you basically weave in the left over yarn into your project seamlessly (or at least try to). it’s a good way to give your project a clean finish and makes it look more professional 😌💖

here is a cute beginner friendly holiday decoration that you can make in just a day! this is called a crochet bubble garland, and it's so easy to make that you only need to know how to chain and do a puff stitch! the best part is that it's pet friendly too, so if it falls it won't break! It's so soft and cute and I can't wait to add it to my tree! also, for those interested, I'll give an in-depth tutorial for this garland closer to the holidays <3

okay hold up!! watch me transform this basic knitted turtleneck to a super cute bow sweater 🎀💞 i think this is my new fave sweater, i thrifted the turtleneck and cut it off, sewed it so it looks like ribbing, and just tied some ribbons into bows where i wanted them! i just put a dot of hot glue in the middle to keep them from untying, i love how you can easily manipulate yarn and make it into something new! now this sweater has new life until the next time i want to change it up 😌💘

throwback to last years costume! I was a spider queen! I crocheted about 4 spiders and stitched 2 onto my pants and I wanted to hang the other 2 as if they were crawling up! and also crocheted the web top! it was a lot of fun adding and combining different elements to create one costume!

swatch time! I wanted to practice some knitting so I picked out this beautiful plum colored yarn, the swatch is 4.25in long and 2.5in in height! so now I know I need about 5 stitches less for the length and about 10 more tows to reach 4×4in! now I'm gonna try again and hopefully it comes out better <3

yarn chicken is a constant game you play when you crochet a lot and this the yarn won! most of the time you can make a good estimate as to how much yarn you need for an item but sometimes when you get thrifted yarn, like these, you have to just go for it and hope for the best! all you can do is try again, oh well, back to the drawing board!

I was looking back at old projects for some inspiration but I realized I never got a close up of this purse I made a while ago! I actually made this "house" purse when I first started to crochet, which is a testament to how easy it is for a beginner to make! I used just one stitch for the whole purse, handle included, weaved in the windows and door, and hand sewed a button so I can close it <3
